Trinidad-Hopkins to remain at Madison Square Garden

SportsTicker

NEW YORK -- The undisputed midddleweight title bout between Felix Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins has been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 29 at Madison Square Garden.

The bout, among the most anticipated on the boxing calendar this year, was scheduled for Sept. 15 but was called off in the wake of last week's terrorist attacks in the United States.

The site of the leveled World Trade Center in lower Manhattan is just a few miles south of Madison Square Garden.

Trinidad, from Puerto Rico, is the WBA middleweight champ. Hopkins, the IBF and WBC champion, is from Philadelphia.

The event will be televised by TVKO, the pay-per-view arm of HBO.
