NEW YORK -- In a story about an interview Mike Tyson gave to Jim Gray following his fight against Julius Francis, The Associated Press misquoted Tyson.

The quote from Tyson was: "And I'd like to say, the problem that me and you had, I'm a big enough man to squash it and be your friend. I was a little biased because I love Pete Rose and I was very upset about the confrontation you and Pete Rose had."

ESPN.com ran the original story -- which carried a significantly different meaning -- as part of its package about the Tyson-Francis fight.
