PHOENIX -- Mike Tyson, looking tired after a 10-hour flight from London on Sunday, seemed more interested in the Super Bowl than in talking about his boxing future.
Tyson scored a second-round TKO over Julius Francis on Saturday night in Manchester, England.
The 33-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion owns a home in the Phoenix area and reportedly plans to train in Arizona for his next fight in March.
Tyson, dressed all in black with silver chains around his neck and wearing dark sunglasses, appeared irked that a few reporters and television cameramen were awaiting his arrival at Sky Harbor International Airport.
Asked about his fight and his stay in England, Tyson said only, "I felt fine" and "It went well," then told reporters, "I have to leave now."
He briskly walked through the international concourse with his bodyguard, pausing only to sign two autographs for airport personnel and telling a female fan that he wanted the St. Louis Rams to win the Super Bowl because "I like Marshall Faulk." |
