BASSETT, Va. -- Former WBC heavyweight champion Oliver McCall will revive his boxing career next week with a bout against Samson Cohen. The fight is set for Sept. 25 at Bassett High School, near McCall's home in Collinsville, Va. The card will include seven or eight bouts. McCall, 35, hasn't fought since early 1998. He was released from a Martinsville jail in May after serving a little more than half of a one-year sentence for assault and battery of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. McCall (34-6) said he wanted to fight at the school because he has two daughters on its girls' basketball team. He has been training since May in Orwell, Ohio. Cohen, from Hilton Head, S.C., is 22-11.
