Holyfield-Lewis rematch set for November 13

LAS VEGAS (Ticker) -- The heavywight championship unification rematch between Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield is set for November 13 at the Thomas and Mack Center.

Both boxers are expected to attend a news conference Tuesday morning at the Hilton Hotel here, according to Alan Hopper, a spokesman for casino operator Park Place Entertainment.

A spokesman for Don King Productions, the bout's promoter, was unavailable for comment.

Lewis was robbed of the unified title on March 13. He battered Holyfield for 12 rounds at Madison Square Garden in New York before the bout inexplicably was scored a draw.

SportsTicker scored it 117-111 in favor of Lewis, giving the WBC champion the edge in nine rounds. The first heavyweight unification bout in seven years raised the ire of boxing media and fans with inconsistent scoring that settled nothing.
